Fanatics Launches ‘The Ten’ Program, Rewarding Top Sports Card Discoveries

Fanatics Live, in collaboration with Fanatics Collectibles, has unveiled a new and exciting program called ‘The Ten’. This initiative aims to highlight and reward the discovery of the top 10 sports cards in the market. Inspired by iconic lists like the “Billboard Hot 100” and the FBI’s “Most Wanted”, ‘The Ten’ showcases a dynamic selection of 10 cards from various sports. Collectors who successfully pull one of these cards on the Fanatics Live app will be awarded $10,000 in Fanatics Live credit.

‘The Ten’ will feature a monthly rotation of cards, carefully chosen for their popularity and rarity. Examples of these highly sought-after cards include the 2023-24 Bowman Chrome University Bronny James/LeBron James 1/1 dual-auto card and the yet-to-be-pulled 2023 Bowman Chrome Baseball Draft Tom Brady 12/50 inscribed card.

The inaugural list of ‘The Ten’ includes a mix of legendary athletes and rising stars. The lineup features icons like Tom Brady and Steph Curry, along with promising talents like MLB’s Corbin Carroll and Anthony Volpe, and NBA’s Luka Doncic and Chet Holmgren. These cards span across different brands, including Panini, Upper Deck, Topps, and Bowman.

James Kollar, senior director of marketing at Fanatics Live, expressed the program’s aim to enhance the collecting experience and give back to collectors and the hobby. ‘The Ten’ is designed to foster community engagement, allowing Fanatics Live participants and the collecting community to have a say in the monthly card selections.

In addition to highlighting rare and popular cards, ‘The Ten’ also serves as a platform to promote new products and generate excitement around existing releases with chase cards. It gives dealers and collectors an opportunity to showcase these cards and creates a lively atmosphere of conversation and anticipation within the community.

Fanatics Live has planned various activities around ‘The Ten’, including pack and box breaks and special shows to celebrate major discoveries and announce the upcoming cards. A dedicated webpage will track the cards and their finders, adding to the narrative and story behind each discovery.

The program, which may feature guest athletes and additional prizes, puts a strong focus on the stories behind the collectors and their finds. This unique storytelling aspect adds depth and personal connection to the collecting experience. Since its debut, Fanatics Live has experienced consistent growth, with an average watch time of 56 minutes, demonstrating its emergence as a community-focused platform. Kollar expressed his excitement for the potential impact of ‘The Ten’ on the Fanatics brand and the collector community.

‘The Ten’ is set to revolutionize the way collectors engage with sports cards. By offering not only the thrill of hunting for rare cards, but also the opportunity to be rewarded with substantial credit, Fanatics Live is taking collecting to new heights. The program’s emphasis on community engagement and storytelling further enriches the experience, turning each card discovery into a memorable event. With ‘The Ten’, Fanatics Live is set to become a leading destination for collectors looking for an exciting and rewarding collecting experience.
